Share What Makes You Unique

April 27, 2023

Your User Manual is a short document that sums up your unique personality as a colleague and leader—including your strengths, your working style, and your quirks. We’ve designed the User Manual to share with your team for better collaboration and deeper understanding of who you are.

Our short assessment produces a User Manual that includes:

  • Your DISC type. DISC is a robust and widely used framework for understanding whether your personality is primarily oriented to Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, or Conscientiousness. Each of these has implications for how you work and how you manage. Understanding your type opens a plethora of insights that can help you more effectively lead the diverse set of personalities on your team.
  • Behavioral spectrums. The User Manual assessment also predicts your placement on nine behavioral scales, including Introverted–Extroverted, Risk Averse–Risk Tolerant, and Authoritative–Democratic. Knowing where you fall—and how it compares to where various people on your team fall—can deepen understanding and appreciation of these differences. You’ll avoid needless misunderstandings and capitalize on your and your team’s unique strengths
  • Self-authored insights. We’ll prompt you to briefly share some of the things that make you unusual, interesting, quirky, the things people who work with you should be aware of. It could be a pet peeve, a topic that fascinates you, or a habit you or others have noticed. Getting this on paper can head off lots of misunderstandings down the road!
  • Workplace preferences. Answer a short questionnaire to share pertinent info about how you prefer to work and what you expect from your employees. Do you prefer communicating via phone, messaging, email, or in-person? What hours are people expected to be available? Sharing your answers as part of your User Manual helps everyone get on the same page and work together productively.
